Police Officer - Full Time

Entry Level Hiring Incentive - $3,000
- Candidates with 0-2 years' experience as licensed peace officer shall be eligible for the Entry Level Hiring Incentive
- Upon successful completion of FTO, the entry level officer will received $1,500 (less normal withholding's).
- Upon successful completion of the probation (typically one (1) year of employment as a police officer), the entry level officer will receive the remaining $1,500 (less normal withholding's).
- The entire incentive amount shall be re-paid, in full, to the City in the event the new officer's employment status ends, voluntarily or for cause/misconduct, within two years of the date of hire as a police officer.
- Payment is due to the City within 6 months of the last day of employment with the City
- The new police officer shall sign a receipt for the Incentive with includes the referring employee's acknowledgment of the obligation to pay back the incentive.
Lateral Level Hiring Incentive - $6,000
- Candidates with over two (2) years of experience as licensed peace officer shall be eligible for the Lateral Level Hiring Incentive
- Upon successful completion of FTO, the lateral level officer will received $3,000 (less normal withholding's).
- Upon successful completion of the probation (typically one (1) year of employment as a police officer), the lateral level officer will receive the remaining $3,000 (less normal withholding's).
- The entire incentive amount shall be re-paid, in full, to the City in the event the new officer's employment status ends, voluntarily or for cause/misconduct, within two years of the date of hire as a police officer.
